Jill Salter
Chief Financial Officer
Jill Salter, Chief Financial Officer, has been a vital part of Helpmates, Inc. since its early beginnings. As the CFO, Jill’s objective is to assure corporate success by directing and managing all financial systems to ensure fiscal viability and accountability. The Director of Accounting, HR Representative and Director of Marketing/PR are also under her direction. She sits on Helpmates' Board of Directors, Helpmates Charitable Giving Foundation and the DuBois Educational Foundation. Jill holds a degree in Business/Accounting, and attends many ongoing educational sessions to keep up to date with the ever changing home care regulations and billing processes. Jill is married with two children and enjoys reading, walking with her dog and spending time with her family.
Kristan Carlson
Director of Accounting
Kristan “Kris” Carlson, Director of Accounting, has been a part of Helpmates, Inc. for over twenty years. She attended Slippery Rock University where she attained her Masters Degree while working full time for the agency. Kris is responsible for the monitoring of revenue flow and expenditures, supervision of the accounting department staff, oversight of the day to day accounting functions and assisting the CFO in financial planning and development. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her “furry” daughter Nonie.
Darren Carlson
Network Systems Administrator / Chief Logistics Officer
Darren Carlson, Chief Logistics Officer and Network Systems Administrator, is responsible for the ongoing operation of the computer “network system” that connects all of the outlying offices with the corporate office. The “network system” allows the coordinator of every office to transmit to the corporate office all of the necessary information needed to pay employees and vendors, bill consumers, insurances and other agencies. The intricate system also allows personnel from all of the offices to be in constant contact, not only with the corporate office, but with each other. Darren and his Network Systems Administrative Assistant are responsible for all aspects involving the system, and for its smooth operation. As Chief Logistics Officer, Darren is also responsible for directing the installment, maintenance and replacement (if needed) of any equipment and technological services necessary for efficient operation of all Helpmates, Inc. offices. Darren resides in Penfield with his wife, cats and two dogs. He enjoys any type of challenging projects, camping, hunting, fishing and NASCAR racing.
Dawn Foringer
Chief Operations Officer
Dawn Foringer, Chief Operations Officer (COO), has served in several capacities during her years at Helpmates, Inc., and for the past several years as COO. In her current role Dawn is responsible for overseeing the supervisory staff directly in charge of service provision. She is also in charge of exploring the possibility of any new services that may be beneficial for consumers, and if they are feasible for the agency to provide. Dawn works with many outside agencies that Helpmates, Inc. is a provider for and ensures the services are carried out as directed. Dawn attended Slippery Rock University where she earned her B.A. in Social Work and then attained her Masters Degree of Social Work (MSW). Dawn is a board member of Helpmates Charitable Giving Foundation and the Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce. She is married with two children and enjoys golfing, motorcycling, reading and spending time with her family.
